Upcoming LA Workshops:

HOLDING THE ROOM: A DIRECTING INTENSIVE

Nov 14-15, 11am-4pm

@ The Stray Theater

Build + Break explores practical approaches to creating work for the stage. Over the course of this workshop, we’ll generate and test material through solo and ensemble exercises.

Participants will experiment with multiple starting points and compositional tools they can continue developing beyond the weekend - in short, instead of ending with a finished product, we will leave with a variety of entry points to continue beyond the workshop. We will investigate how to build from impulse into form - and when breaking something open leads to stronger work.

Come ready to construct. Come ready to dismantle.
